A visit to ARC is your chance to learn more about the initiatives that are already done for the climate and environment, and those to be done tomorrow.
Resources for the city
ARC is an integrated part of the city. We take the city's waste and in return provide electricity, district heating and recyclable materials to the city’s residents. Come and get a unique insight into the system that might be invisible in everyday life, but turns one man’s trash into another man’s treasure. A tour of the energy plant where you explore the transition of waste to electricity and district heating is included in the visit. Duration of the visit is approx. 2 hours. Min. 8 to max. 25 participants.
Learn more about ARC’s new waste-to-energy plant Amager Bakke, and how it will be included in the city circuit in terms of waste, energy and culture alike. The visit includes a tour of the current facility to provide an insight of how a waste-to-energy plant works. Duration of the visit is approx. 2 hours. Min. 8 to max. 30 participants.
Please note that for security reasons, people with a height under 120 cm. are not allowed to tour the plant.
